Avis de décès : M. Annette Leona Moreau (St. Amant) (1933-10-16 - 2022-03-14)

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dearly loved mom, Annette. In her 89th year, she passed peacefully with her family by her side on March 14, 2022.

Annette was the beloved wife of the late Oswald (Ossie), for more than 46 years. She was the devoted and loving mother of David (Brenda), Martin (Shelley), Susan, Kevin (Diane), Keith (Charlene), the late Christopher (Marilyn), and Marc (Karie) and the cherished Mémère of Danielle, Bradley, Michael, Colin, Austin, Mathew, Mitchell, Evan, Jennifer, Jill, Thomas and Joshua. She was a loving arrière-grand-mère to Naomi and Jory. Annette was the dear sister of Michael, late Martin (Jeanne), Theresa (Douglas Dondenault), and Rene Moreau and loved sister-in law of the late Bernard (Kay), Richard (Francis), Lawrence (Helen), Margaret (Claire Edgar), Gerard (Stella), Marie (Lionel LaCroix) and Anne and Betty (Bernard) Gravelle. Annette was a caring aunt to her many nieces and nephews of the St. Amant and Moreau families living in Canada and United States.

Annette was a deeply devout Roman Catholic who was known for her daily prayers and her involvement in church life. She had a passion for cooking, making her preserves of pickles and relishes, and baking her pies. She was an entrepreneur and built a successful catering business, Café Annette in Penetanguishene's French Centre. She was always careful to keep her special recipes close to her heart. As Annette would say, "The best sandwich started with how the bread was buttered."
br/>Annette was an active member in Penetanguishene and surrounding community. She was a dedicated volunteer for the St. Ann's School Breakfast Club and the Penetang Curling Club. She enjoyed golfing, swimming, curling, cards, travelling, singing, gathering with her family and friends, and hosting dinner parties. She was very proud of the eight-ender she achieved in curling.

Annette will be missed terribly by many but will be forever remembered as a classy woman. She was fashionable and paid great attention to her hair, nails and jewelry to ensure she was always ready for the next get-together with family and friends (especially her girlfriends!) We know she'll be singing those French songs in heaven.

Our family would sincerely like to thank Mom's devoted daughter, our sister Susan, for her many years of commitment and dedication in caring for our mom. We are also thankful for the staff of Georgian Manor/Village for their exceptional care.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Georgian Village and Georgian Bay Hospital.

Visitation will be at the Penetanguishene Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The church service will be held at St. Ann's Church in Penetanguishene on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at 10 a.m. A reception will follow at the Penetanguishene Curling Club.
