Charles A. Charlie Rouleau, 84, of of Lincoln, formerly of Blackstone, died Monday May 17, 2021 at the Holiday in Manville. He was the loving husband of the late Georgette I. (Jacobs) Rouleau. They were married on September 7, 1959 and shared over 51 years together until her passing in 2011.
Born and raised in Woonsocket he was a son of the late Raymond and Rhea (St. Amant) Rouleau. He was a graduate of Mt. St. Charles Academy. Charlie was a resident of Blackstone for over 35 years before moving to Lincoln where he has lived for the past 18 years.
Mr. Rouleau was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving during the in 1950s and 60s.
Charlie worked as a longshoreman in his younger years. Later he worked as a professional truck driver and was employed by B&E Transportation Inc. and then Keystone Freight Lines for many years before retiring in 2001.
Charlie was a member of the Cercle Laurier. He was an avid car enthusiast and especially loved antique automobiles. The classic rides of bygone eras were right up Charlies alley.
Charlie will be remembered as a devoted husband and father. He was an outgoing and friendly gentleman.
Charlie is survived by a daughter Michelle I. Sawyer and her husband Larry of Staunton, Virginia. He was the brother of Maurice Rouleau of Texas and the late Marie Claire Charbonneau. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and their families.
His Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday June 3, 2021 at 10:00 am in Holy Trinity Parish (OLQM Church) Park Ave. Woonsocket. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham.
In lieu of flowers the family requests Masses to be offered for Charlie.
