Avis de décès : Mme Susan Ann Lacey (St. Amand) (1953-12-16 - 2021-01-05)

Susan Ann (Lacey) St. Amand, 67, of Carmel, IN passed away January 5, 2021 following a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease. She was born November 16, 1953 in Lancaster, OH.

As a veteran of the US Navy Nurse Corps, Susan proudly served her country from 1978-1982. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Ohio University, Athens, OH and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, OH. She worked as a nurse for 10 years, holding licenses in 7 states because of her husband Mike's military postings. She left nursing when she and Mike started their own family while they were stationed in Scotland.

A devoted wife for 38 years and a loving mother of four, she not only imparted her good values to her own children, but she also was a nurturing mentor to numerous others, teaching Sunday School for 30 years, leading Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts, coaching girls' kickball, and later obtaining her teaching license. After teaching at Lumen Christi Catholic School in Indianapolis, Susan's advancing Parkinson's Disease forced her to retire from what she loved, knowing she had left a lasting impression on many young lives.

Susan was preceded in death by her father, Edward Lacey, Lancaster, OH. Survivors include her mother, M. Jean Lacey of Lancaster, OH; husband, Michael St. Amand of Carmel, IN; children, Jessica St. Amand of Norman, OK, Thomas St. Amand of Westfield, IN, Sarah St. Amand of Carmel, IN, and Peter St. Amand of Indianapolis, IN; sister, Nancy (Michael) Lafferty of Virginia Beach, VA, and brother, Thomas (Kimberly) Lancaster, OH.
