Victor Michael "Vickie" Egana was born Jan. 26, 1962 to the late Audrey St. Amant Egana and Raymond Housere' Egana, Sr. Victor is the beloved husband to Annie Felton Egana. Victor entered eternal rest to be with our Lord, at the age of 58 on Dec. 28, 2020.

Victor was an entrepreneur of oyster shucking at Tracey's Irish Channel Bar. He was also employed as an oyster shucker at Mr. Ed's and Acme Oyster House where the employees gave him the name Victor the Great.

He loved fishing on his off days and clowning with his nieces and nephews with his magic tricks and karate. He thought he was the next Bruce Lee.

Victor was recently baptized with NOLA Church by his nephew, Marcus Broussard. Victor was a beautiful person both inside and out and will be greatly missed by many.

Victor is the brother to six siblings: Louise Egana Broussard (Michael), Samantha Egana Robinson (Greg). Josette, John (Gina), Raymond Egana, Jr. (Dinah), and the late Joseph Egana, Sr. Victor is the father to Victor and Vincent Jackson, Kimberly Gibson Jackson, Judy Gibson Houston, Brian Roby and the late Eddie Johnson. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will take place on Friday, January 8, 2021 for 1:30 p.m. at The Boyd Family Funeral Home, 5001 Chef Menteur Hwy., New Orleans, LA 70126. Visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m. Interment is private. Due to Covid regulations, seating capacity is limited and all attendees are required to wear face masks.
