Albert Paul St. Amant, 86, of Leominster, MA, formerly of Nashua and Hudson, passed away on Friday evening, April 10, 2020 at the UMass Memorial Health Alliance in Leominster, after a period of declining health.
A Nashua native, he was born on May 29, 1933, a son of the late Hermase and Diane (Lambert) St. Amant. Albert grew up in Nashua and later made his home in Hudson for over 30 years and has resided in Leominster, MA for the past ten years.
He had been employed as an autobody technician and painter with several local businesses including Bailey’s Towing and Autobody in Merrimack.
Albert enjoyed working on old cars, loved to take long drives, watch old movies, listen to Country music and dining out. He was happiest when he was enjoying good times with his family.
In addition to his parents, Albert was predeceased by his wife, Patricia (Kerouac) St. Amant, who passed away in 1969; and two sisters and a brother-in-law, Lorette St. Amant and Gertrude T. and Leo Caron. Albert is survived by four children, Paul St. Amant and his husband Henry Thibodeau of Seminole, FL, David St. Amant and his wife Linda of St. Petersburg, FL, Mike St. Amant and his wife Cathy of Litchfield, NH and Cathy Steinberg and her husband Ken of Nashua; his longtime companion, Abi Letourneau of Leominster, MA; also six grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Following cremation, a Graveside service will take place at St. Patrick Cemetery in Hudson at a later date. Arrangements are in the care of the Farwell Funeral Service, 18 Lock Street, Nashua. www.farwellfuneralservice.com.
