Avis de décès : Mme Dolores Chustz (1935-05-23 - 2018-11-28)

Dolores Marie Ricard Chustz departed to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 28th, 2018, at the age of 83.

Born May 23rd, 1935, in Opelousas, Dolores lived most of her life in Louisiana until the loss of her beloved husband, Roger, of 56 years. Upon that time, she moved to Washington, D.C.

Throughout her entire life, Dolores was a servant of God. She gave all she had to her parents and siblings, her husband, and her children – and she was the world's greatest Granny! Through RCIA, CCD, eucharistic ministry, and other ministries, Dolores always found a way to serve the Lord she loved.

She was known for her beautiful smile, positivity, and encouragement – and she was an amazing Creole cook!

Dolores was preceded in death by her husband Eugene Roger Chustz, Sr.; father Maceo Ricard, Sr.; mother Albanie St. Amant Ricard; brothers Maceo, Jr., Joseph, and Anthony; and sister Sylvia Honore. She is survived by her children Eugene, Jr; Paul and wife Lisa; Timothy and wife Karla; Susan and husband Keith; grandchildren Dillon, Kelli, Austin, Grant, Elizabeth, Peter, and Jeremiah; and her great-grandson Mason. She also leaves her siblings Marilyn Oetjen, Shirley Little, and the Most Reverend John Ricard.

The mass of Christian burial will be December 22nd, 2018, 10 a.m., at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Baton Rouge, conducted by the Most Rev. John Ricard and Rev. Edward Chiffriller. Interment to follow in Chenal Cemetery.
