Mr. Joseph M. Egana, Sr. (Indian Joe) passed away on March 25, 2018 at the age of 54 years old, after an eighth month battle with cancer.

Mr. Egana is survived by his children: Deyonka, Joseph, Jr., and Javonna Egana and Deiondrewnette and Joshua and niece/child Lakeitha B. Scott and nephew/son Michael J. Broussard, Jr., his fiance' Kelly Chatman, his parents the late Mr. Raymond H. Egana, Sr. and the late Mrs. Audrey Mae St. Amant-Egana. Siblings: (mother/sister) Louise Egana Broussard (Michael J. Sr.), Raymond, Jr. (Dinah), John and Victor Egana (Annie), Samantha Egana Robinson (Gregory) & Josetta Egana. Child/Godfather of Marcus C. Broussard and Maci A. Broussard. Joseph was the godson of Robert F. Moore, Sr. and Elaine Moore. Also survived by a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Family, friends, Pastor John Ruff of 1st Macedonia Church, Seventh Day of Adventist Church of Metairie, St. Maria Goretti and St. Jude C.C., Crown of Life Lutheran Church, employees of Touro, West Jefferson Hospital, United Medical Hospital, Audubon Charter School, Baumer's Food, Race Track, Boomtown Casino and the neighborhood of Berg Street are all invited to his Homegoing Celebration on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 for 1:30 p.m. at The Boyd Family Funeral Home, 5001 Chef Menteur Hwy., NOLA. Visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. Pastor Tony officiating. Interment is private.
