Avis de décès : M. Trenton Matthew "Trent" Gueno ( - 2017-08-05)

Trenton Matthew Gueno passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at the age of thirty-one.

He was the devoted son of Roxanne Burns and Patrick Gueno. He was preceded in death by his beloved grandfather, Winston J. "Boostie" Burns, Sr. He leaves to cherish his memory, his faithful and devoted mother, his father; his loving siblings, Brandon P. Gueno (Sarah) and Shannon T. Phillips (Don); his grandparents: Gretta Roque Burns, Iris St. Amant Gueno, and William M. Gueno, Jr. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, whom he adored: Gabrielle, Dashaydon, Marcus, and Darien, and his faithful four-legged companion, Rengo. He will be sorely missed by his grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and friends.

At the tender age of twelve, Trenton moved with his family to Chico, CA where he graduated from Pleasant Valley High School. Due to his illness, he had to suspend his education at Chico State University two months shy of receiving his bachelor's degree with honors in history and communications. Trenton had many interests and passions; among them, spending time with his family, and a love of reading and engaging in philosophical discussions. He was an enthusiast of history and nature, and was known in his circles as an animal whisperer. He was passionate about the martial arts and held a black belt in Tae Kwon Do and a blue belt with two stripes in Jiu Jitsui. Trenton was an inspiration to all and he touched the lives of all who knew him in a unique and profound way. He boldly faced his illness with courage and tenacity and fought his battle with cancer as a true warrior. Trent was an authentic and genuine friend to many and enjoyed a special relationship with his siblings, cousins, family and devoted girlfriend, Carrie Caparole.

Relatives and friends of the family, including Chico's Enloe Medical Center, the medical staff and faculty at the Gayle and Tom Benson Cancer Center, the Oncology Department at Ochsner Healthcare System, and employees at University Medical Center are invited to attend a mass of Christian burial at St. Raymond & St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, 2916 Paris Avenue, New Orleans, LA on Saturday, August 12, 2017 at 10:30 am.
