Loving mother, aunt, and friend Eva departed this life May 26, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. peacefully at her home. She was 78. She was survived by her only child, Rhea Hollins Gilmore, son-in-law Kelvin Gilmore of Baton Rouge and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Charles and Emma St. Amant, 3 brothers, 1 sister and 3 nephews. Services will be held Saturday, June 3rd at 10 a.m. at Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church 1358 South Boulevard in Baton Rouge, Rev. Dr. Herman O. Kelly officiating. Public viewing will be 5-7 Friday, June 2nd at Carney-Mackey Funeral Home, 1576 Robin St. in Baton Rouge and 9-10 a.m. preceding services. Remains entrusted to Carney-Mackey Funeral Home.
