Diane P. (Pijus) Keeney, 69, died Tuesday, February 28, 2017 in St. Vincent Hospital after a long illness.
She leaves her husband of 45 years, Kenneth R. Keeney; two sons, Michael Keeney of Shrewsbury and Robert Keeney and his wife Kim of Holden; a daughter Sharyn Thomas and her husband Walter of Shrewsbury; three sisters, Joanne Provencal of Grafton, Nancy Morley of Shrewsbury and Patricia Pijus of Millbury; seven grandchildren, Anthony, Kendall, Mackenzie, Patrick, Samantha, Riley & Christina and several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by a brother James Pijus.
Diane was born in Worcester, daughter of Anthony J. Pijus and Pauline J. (Leroux) St. Amand. She graduated from David Hale Fanning Trade School. She enjoyed quilting, painting, and sewing. Her most cherished moments were the times she spent with her grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Diane's family on Thursday, March 2, 2017 from 4:00-7:00 PM in BRITTON SHREWSBURY FUNERAL HOME, 648 Main Street, Shrewsbury. Her funeral will be Friday from the funeral home with a funeral Mass celebrated at 12:00 PM at St. Mary's Church, 640 Main Street, Shrewsbury. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Shrewsbury.

Sa mère, Pauline Juliette Leroux, était l'épouse en secondes noces de Georges St-Amand. Georges était le fils de Joseph St-Amand et de Marie Rose Anna "Marion" Nolet; le petit-fils de François St-Amand et de Lumina "Alma" Desjardins; l'arrière-petit-fils de Joseph St-Amand et de Joséphine Gauthier. Georges est un descendant de Michel Lebrette dit St-Amand.
