Alfred William (Babe) St. Amand passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness surrounded by his family at the Sault Area Hospital on Thursday, January, 26, 2017 in his 82rd year. Loving husband of Pat (nee Smit) for 57 years. Cherished father of Daniel St. Amand (late Nancy) and Tracey Trozzo (Renzo). Much loved Grandpa of Jaimee-Lyn and Brittney. Son of the late Oscar and Emma St. Amand. Brother of the late Gerald St. Amand (Cathy), Joyce Katajamaki (Ron), and the late Margaret White (late Donald). Brother-in-law of Doreen Morse (late Buck). Alfred will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Alf's passion was golf. He spent many years as a member at the Sault Ste. Marie Country Club. Heartfelt thank you to all of Alf's Doctors and Nurses, especially Mary Pistor and Lillian Sherrard who cared for him over the years at home. Friends are invited to visit at the Arthur Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 between 1pm and 3pm.
