Lucy was born in 1913 to Napoleon Lauzon and Marie Louise St-Amand in Point Gatineau, Quebec. Lucy's mother died of the Spanish Flu while caring for neighbours in 1918. As a girl Lucy was educated in Point Gatineau by the Sisters of Charity and at their convent at Saint-François-Du-Lac, where her aunt Laure Lauzon (Sister Sainte-Georgine) was teaching. Upon graduation from high school Lucy lived with an aunt and uncle in Huntsville, Ontario and then moved to Toronto, Ontario where she met her loving husband (deceased) H. Raymond Mossington. By the end of World War II, Lucy and her husband moved to Ottawa, where she remained. Lucy worked for over 35 years at the Department of National Defence, where she developed many of the pictures taken during the war and afterwards. Those photographs grace the walls of many buildings in the national capital. Lucy spent happy days in Florida, vacationing there while working and then spending several months a year there once retired.

Lucy was predeceased by her brother (deceased) George Hector Lauzon and his wife (deceased) Doria Lauzon, and her niece Micheline (Mimi) Lauzon (Derek Stannard). She is survived by her nieces and nephews Jean-Serge Lauzon (Kathy), Andre Lauzon (Josie), Pierre-Paul Lauzon (Ann Desjardins), Louisette Lauzon (Pierre Frechette), Daniel Lauzon and Alain Lauzon and their children. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews from her husband's family: Michael, Anne, Douglas, Patricia and Stewart Mossington, Stephen, Gregory, Ann and Mark Tierney, and Susan and Clair Cross.

The family wishes to thank the doctors and nurses at the Montfort Hospital for the care during her final days. They also wish to thank the staff of Bayshore Home Help and especially Norma for the daily care they provided to her which enabled her to stay in her home until her final days.
