Lowell -- Normand D. St. Amand, age 68, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2014 at Lahey Clinic in Burlington after an extended illness. He was born in Lowell on January 7, 1946, a son of the late Joseph Henry and Aurore (Desmarais) St. Amand. Normand was a lifelong resident of Lowell and a communicant of Holy Family Parish. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a fork lift operator at Joan Fabrics in Lowell for several years. He is survived by two brothers and a sister, Henry St. Amand of Lowell, Robert St. Amand and his wife Joanne of Cranford, NJ and Jacqueline St. Amand of Lowell; a nephew, David St. Amand of Lowell; a niece, Amie Sternlight and her husband Chris of Tewksbury; a great nephew, John Sternlight; his former sister-in-law, Angela Lochmandy of Nashua; also numerous cousins. He was the brother of the late Leo and Donald St. Amand. Relatives and friends may call at the M. R. Laurin & Son Funeral Home, 295 Pawtucket St., Lowell, on Wednesday, August 13 from 5 until 8pm. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday morning at 10 o'clock at Holy Family Parish, corner of Chamberlain and Grafton Sts. Lowell. Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford.
