Avis de décès : M. Francis "Frank" St. Amand (1925-06-24 - 2013-09-19)

Mr. Francis "Frank" St. Amand of Lethbridge, beloved husband of Alberta St. Amand, passed away suddenly on Thursday, September 19, 2013 at the age of 88 years. Frank was born on June 24, 1925 at Victoria Harbour, Ontario and at an early age the family moved to Collingwood Ontario.

As a young man, Frank worked in the Shipyards and upon turning 18 enlisted in the naval service. When the war ended, he returned to the shipyards until he found his true passion : the grocery business and held various positions until he retired. His favorite hobby was golfing. He found his soul mate Alberta and got her to love golf as much as he did and they spend 39 happy years doing everything together. Family always came first in his life, especially his wife.

Through his work, they were able to enjoy many trips to Europe, South America, Cuba, Mexico, Bahamas and various states in the U.S. Upon his retirement, they enjoyed spending time in Palm Springs.

Through the years, Frank belonged to the Kinsmen Club, K40, ACT and the Lethbridge Country Club.

Besides his loving wife, Alberta, Frank is survived by his sister-in-law, Helen St. Amand; brother-in-law George (Adella) Lutterotti; sister-in-law Nevis (Douglas) Goruk; mother in law Wanda Lutterotti, and Alberta's uncle and aunt Val and Flora Matteotti, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families. He was predeceased by the parents, Peter and Alice St. Amand, 12 siblings and his father-in-law, Guerrino Lutterotti.

A Prayer Vigil will be held at 7:00pm on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at Martin Brothers Riverview Chapel, 610 4th Street South, Lethbridge. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00am on Thursday, September 26, 2013 at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, 2405 12th Ave South, Lethbridge with Father Kevin Tumback, celebrant.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Box 2211 Lethbridge, Alberta T1J 4K7; to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 204, 2323-32nd Ave N.E. Calgary, Alberta T2E 6Z3; or family and friends may donate blood at Canadian Blood Services in honour of Frank, call 1-800-2Donate.
