A resident of Essex, Jeannine Imrie passed away on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at the Leamington District Memorial Hospital with family and friends by her side at the age of 85. She was born in Saint Hyacinthe, Quebec and was the daughter of the late Louis and Bernadette Saint-Amand.
Beloved wife of the late Earnest W. Imrie (1998). Dear mother of Michel and Darlene Lepine, Denise and Ken Robertson. Proud grandmother to Michael and Debby Lepine, Ryan Lepine (2009), Bill and Amy Grady, Johnny Grady, Kenny Robertson; great-grandmother to Kadeasha, Cayden, Brody, Liam, Maya, William and Jenna. Jeannine will also be dearly missed by her many friends and especially her granddog Diamond. Survived by two sisters and predeceased by seven other siblings.
Jeannine was a Life member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 201 Ladies Auxiliary, Essex.
Family and friends will be received at the Reid Funeral Home and Reception Centre, 87 Maidstone Ave. E. Essex (519-776-4233) on Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. R.C.L. Ladies Auxiliary Service 7:30 p.m. A funeral service to celebrate Jeannine's life will be held in the Funeral Home on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. A private family interment of Jeannine's cremated remains will take place at Country Meadows Cemetery, Essex immediately following the service.
Memorial donations to honour Jeannine's life can be made by cheque to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Windsor and Essex County Humane Society and would be appreciated by the family.
