Jerry David St. Amand 64, of Cromwell, passed away on December 18, 2012. Jerry was born on Nov. 23, 1948 in Hartford. He was the son of Lawrence and Blanche St. Amand.

He is survived by two daughters who adored him; Desiree K. St. Amand and Michelle M. St. Amand who reside in Saranac Lake, NY. He also leaves behind his sister Joanne Geary and brother-in-law Richard Geary of South Glastonbury; his former wife Linda O'Dell of Saranac Lake; three stepsons Francis O'Dell of Saranac Lake; Christopher David, of Orlando, FL; and Robert David of Saranac Lake; three beautiful granddaughters Sierra Moody, Biancha Pelletieri, Felicity Roberts, and one grandson Jacob Roberts; one niece Marlene Geary of East Hampton, and one nephew Brett Geary of East Hampton; as well as several step-grandchildren and many extended family members.

Jerry was employed at Pratt & Whitney and Hamilton Standard for most of his life. He served in the Vietnam War from 1966-1969 with an honorable discharge. He was a Specialist Four Forward Observer with the 25th Infantry Division (Tropic Lightening), 2-27 Infantry Regiment (Wolfhounds), United States Army. He was awarded a Bronze Star Medal for heroism in action.

He worked very hard, raised a loving family and cherished his friends. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the Vietnam Veterans Association. He will be missed very much by everyone.

Calling hours will be 4-7 p.m. with a vigil service starting at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 27 at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 50 Naubuc Ave., Glastonbury. Burial will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 28 in Old Church Cemetery, Main St., South Glastonbury.
