At the Grand Falls Manor, July 15, 2010, Mr. Frank Senechal of Saint-Andre passed away at the age of 87. He was the husband of Therese (Beaulieu) Senechal. Born at Saint-Andre in 1923, he was a son of the late Alfred and Eva (St-Amand) Senechal.
Mr. Sénéchal was a farmer his whole adult life and retired when his son took over the 4th-generation farm. Some will remember the many years he transported children to the former Ste-Jeanne-d'Arc School with his nine-passenger station wagon.
Besides his wife, he is survived by six children, Charlotte (Leeman Lang), Robert (partner Denise) and Roger of Saint-Andre, Francine (Alan Coomber) of Dieppe, Germain (Fernande) and Jacques (Lise) of Saint-Andre, 12 grandchildren, six great grandchildren, two sisters, Sylvia Desjardins of Rutland, Vermont and Patsy McIntosh of Petit-Rocher, sisters-in-law, Martina Senechal of Fort Fairfield, Maine and Gertrude Senechal of Grand Falls, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one son, Daniel, one sister, Albertine Crockett, two brothers, Wilfred and Fernand.
His funeral service was held Monday, July 19th at 2 p.m. from the Assumption Roman Catholic Church, Grand Falls with Father Pierre Thibodeau officiating, assisted by Father Lucien Levesque. The pallbearers were Gilles Paulin, Mark Coomber, Denis Coomber, Michel Senechal, Luc Senechal and Nick Senechal. Interment was in the Assumption Cemetery.
Arrangements were by O'Regan's Funeral Home, Grand Falls.
