Avis de décès : M. Conrad St-Amand (1924- - 2008-01-25)

At the Grand Falls General Hospital, January 25, 2008, Mr. Conrad St-Amand of Saint-Andre passed away at the age of 83 years. He was married to the former Carmen Levesque. Born at Saint-Andre in 1924, he was the last surviving child of the late Georges and Agnes (Soucy) St-Amand.

Prior to his retirement, Mr. St-Amand worked many years at the Saint-Andre Regional School. He was a 3rd-degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Saint-Andre council 7222 and also a member of the Grand Falls Golden Age Club.

Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Lucien (Roselle) of Grand Falls, five daughters, Alice St-Amand of Saint-Andre, Jacqueline St-Amand (Andre Isabelle) of Kedgwick, Pierrette Rosebrook (Michael) and Micheline Roy of Saint-Andre and Lise Rioux (Mario) de Grand Falls, eleven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter, Françoise in 2005, a grandson, Sylvain Rioux in 2002 and his sisters and brothers, Emma Rioux, Esther Caron, Jeanne Tremblay, Will, Albert, Oneil, Aurele and Pius St-Amand.

His funeral was held Monday, January 28th at 11 a.m. from the Saint-Andre Roman Catholic Church, with Father Pierre Thibodeau officiating, assisted by Father Frederic Poitras and Father Lucien Levesque. The pallbearers were Luc St-Amand, Guy St-Amand, Eric Rioux, Christian St-Amand, Patrick Rosebrook and Marco Roy. Donald Beaulieu carried the Knights of Columbus flag. Interment was in the adjoining cemetery.

Arrangements were by O'Regan's Funeral Home, Grand Falls.

Il était le fils de Georges St-Amand et d'Agnès Soucy; le petit-fils de Stanislas St-Amand et d'Olive "Obéline" Rioux; l'arrière-petit-fils de Bernard St-Amand et d'Éléonore Miville-Deschênes. Il est un descendant de Michel Lebrette dit St-Amand.
