Simon, Arthur 1920–2006 - The family announces with sorrow his death at the Sudbury Regional Hospital, Laurentien Site, on Monday, November 13, 2006 at the age of 85 years.
Son of the late Ludger and the late Lea (née Trottier) Simon. Husband of the late Jacqueline Simon (née St. Amand) predeceased 1987. Dear friend of Edna Winters, of Sturgeon Falls. Cherished father of Fernande (Gerald) of Manitoulin Island, Ronald (Carole) of Chelmsford, Armand of Sudbury, Germaine (Don) of Temiscaming, PQ., Rita (Gerard) of Cornwall, Rachel (Jacques) of Val Caron, Guy (Cheryl) of Langton, ON., Jean (Mona) of St. Charles, Roger (Tara) of Ignace, Patrick (Valerie) of Timmins and Jacques (Rita) of London. Predeceased by his daughter, Irene (late Gerard) and his son, Edmond. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his 32 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Dear brother of Jeanne, Cecile, Melina, Aurore, Alice, and Lea. Predeceased by his brother, Udger and his sister, Julie.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the Theoret-Bourgeois Centre, 17 Rutland Street, Warren, on Thursday, November 16, 2006 from 2 to 4 and from 7 to 9 pm. Reverend Pierre Cholette will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial at the St. Thomas Church, Warren, on Friday, November 17, 2006 at 11 am.
