St. Amand, Irene M. L., 92, of Serrel Sweet Rd., died Saturday at home. She was the wife of the late Ernest St. Amand.
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Darie (Gauvin) St. Germain. She had lived in Johnston for 15 years, previously residing in Providence. Irene was a draw-in for Rochambeau Worsted of Manville for many years before retiring.
She leaves one son, Donald E. St. Amand, Sr. of Johnston, two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 901 Atwells Ave., Providence. Calling hours Monday 5-7 p.m. in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Red Cross, Hurricane Katrina Disaster Relief, PO Box 37243, Washington D.C. 20013.
