Avis de décès : Mme Mildred M. Michaud (1927-07-25 - 2005-04-29)

Mildred M. Michaud, 77, died Friday night, April 29, 2005, at a Bangor health facility.

Millie was born July 25, 1927, in Wallagrass, the daughter of William L. and Albertine (St. Amant) Michaud. She attended schools in Fort Kent, Van Buren, and Jackman and graduated from Fort Kent Community High School in 1945. Millie lived and worked in Bristol, Conn., in the late 40s and early 50s, returning to the St. John Valley in 1953. She worked as a medical secretary in Fort Kent for many years, retiring in 1986. Millie enjoyed gardening, knitting, and basket weaving, and was an avid reader and crossword puzzle enthusiast. She was also a member of the Retired Senior Volunteer Program.

She was predeceased by her parents and two brothers, Robert and Edgar. Her quiet, mischievous wit and affable nature will be remembered fondly by her friends, neighbors, cousins and her surviving nephew, Bill Michaud, his wife, Pattie (Dentremont) Michaud; and their three daughters, Charlotte, Laura and Kristina Michaud, all of Brunswick.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday, May 6, 2005, at the St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent, with the Rev. Claude Gendreau officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Edgar J. Paradis Cancer Fund, 194 East Main St., Fort Kent, ME 04743. Donation envelopes are available at the Northern Maine Medical Center and the Daigle and Nadeau Funeral Home.
