Mildred Mae St. Amant Cook, a retired beautician and a homemaker, she died at 1:11 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 3, 2004, in Baton Rouge. She was 86 and a resident and native of Prairieville.

Visiting was at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales, from 5 p.m to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 5. Visiting at the funeral home from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 6. Religious service at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Prairieville, at 10 a.m. Wednesday, with the Rev. Donald Blanchard officiating. Interment in Prairieville Community Cemetery, Prairieville.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Leroy J. and Judy Cook and Billy and Loretta Cook, all of Prairieville; five grandsons, Bret Cook, Paul Cook, Dennis Cook, Kurt Cook and Beau Cook; a granddaughter, Ashlee Cook White; and nine great-grandchidren, Adam Cook, Taylor Cook, Andrew Cook, Sean Cook, Seth Cook, Brennen Cook, Blair Cook, Alysse White and Cheyenne Cook. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy "Roy" Cook; parents, Hugh "Hubby" and Alice Salassi St. Amant, sister, Lucille Scivique; three brothers, Salassi St. Amant, Valmond St. Amant and Chester St. Amant. Pallbearers will be Bret Cook, Paul Cook, Dennis Cook, Kurt Cook, Beau Cook and Gene White.
