Avis de décès : M. James Joseph St. Amand, Sr (1905-06-16 - 1997-11-08)

Services will be held for Mr. James J. St. Amand Sr., 92, at 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. Landry Catholic Church in Opelousas with burial in Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. St. Amand died Saturday at the Opelousas General Hospital. A native of Opelousas, he was also a lifetime member of the Woodmen of the World, and a past member of the Cattleman's Association and the Plaisance Rosary Group.

Survivors include: two sons, Lionel St. Amand and Martin St. Amand, both of Opelousas; four daughters, Mrs. Ethel Hilliard and Mrs. Frank (Ruth) Cambre, both of Opelousas, Mrs. Florence Wood of Evansville, Ind. and Mrs. Charles (Barbara) Nezat of Belle Chasse; 27 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie R. St. Amand.

Pallbearers will be Gerald (Jerry) Ledoux Jr., Ronald James St. Amand, J.J. Sonnier, Floyd Jennings, Dale Nielsen, Bradley Nezat, Russell St. Amand and Donald St. Amand.

Visitation is today from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. and will continue Tuesday at 8 a.m. until the time of service. A rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. today.

Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas is in charge of arrangements.
