Avis de décès : Mme Hellen "Jane" St. Amant (Sullivan) (1933-08-24 - 2007-10-15)

Hellen St. Amant "Jane" Sullivan, 74, missionary, educator, literacy supervisor, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, died Monday, Oct. 15, 2007.

Mrs. Sullivan graduated from LSU in Baton Rouge, with a bachelor's degree in education. She taught in the East Baton Rouge Parish school system for many years. She served as her husband's right hand in their ministry of more than 50 years at Faith Worship Center in Baton Rouge. This ministry has led to more than 70 ordained ministers who are preaching the Gospel around the world. Most recently, she served as administrative director of Quad Area Head Start. Jane and her husband, Lewis, conducted more than 140 mission trips to Mexico and Africa during their ministry together. She believed in letting her light shine.

Jane is survived by her beloved husband of 55 years, Lewis; her children and their spouses, Jacquelyn and Greg Fordyce, Peter and Mary Sullivan, Lajuanda and Tim Daigle, Lewis Jr. and Sondra Sullivan, Bret and Sherlyn Sullivan, and adopted daughter, Martha Cleveland; a sister, Katy Barber; a sister-in-law, Catherine St. Amant; stepbrothers, Bill and Jeff Hopkins; 17 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents; brother, Ralph St. Amant; and sister, Winnie Sibley.

Relatives and friends are welcome for visitation at Faith Worship Center, 12219 Greenwell Springs Road. Visitation will continue at Faithful Methodist Church, 14253 La. 431, St. Amant, until funeral service, with the Rev. Bray Sibley officiating. Interment in Faithful Cemetery.
